ICT & FRIENDS 2023 at Motorworld Metzingen

The impressive forge hall at Motorworld Metzingen provided the setting for this year’s ICT & Friends in-house exhibition.

As event technology has developed, precise control of movement has become increasingly important. From moving LED walls to suspended stage scenery, event professionals use kinetic systems to realise creative ideas. Visitors could experience these solutions live and try them for themselves.

Our flexible Curved LED modules were presented as an LED advertising column with a diameter of 1.8 m. Their ability to form convex and concave shapes supports organic structures, from 360-degree surfaces to broad curves and waves. Ultra-black surfaces and a high refresh rate provide strong contrast and image quality, which visitors could experience from every angle as they walked around the column.

The new transparent Muxwave LED screen made its debut and prompted creative discussion. Mounted on glass, it can be integrated into existing architecture and shop-window structures, providing varied ways to present content effectively.

Our Virtual Production Setup offered a view of future possibilities for broadcasting, shows, virtual production and presentations. Live camera tracking allowed visitors to move through virtual worlds that could change instantly. Real-time playback adapted the scenario, time of day or setting to individual requirements in seconds.

Two further exhibits demonstrated how to display 3D content on corner LED installations and bring displays to life through robotic control.

Using ICT SmartPoints, visitors could collect information about the exhibition, individual exhibits and ICT through a sustainable digital solution. Each visitor received a ScanCard to save relevant topics or products. A personalised code then provided access to the information on a mobile device or PC.
