HALOSTAGE – Virtual Production Stage

HALOSTAGE has been based in Studio 10 at the fx Center in Babelsberg since June 2021. Mk I focuses on flexibility: the volume and shape can be changed for each production and adjusted during filming.

It offers a sound stage ready for virtual production in fiction filmmaking. With up to 1,100 m² of LED walls, ceilings and floors, the studio provides flexibility for filming. An Unreal rendering farm, ARRI-optimised lighting and camera equipment, advanced tracking systems and a fully equipped digital village with up to 600 TB of data storage support the studio, alongside a complete virtual production team.

Who is HALOSTAGE for?

Producers. HALOSTAGE goes beyond the studio itself. Its virtual production process can significantly reduce below-the-line costs by allowing more filming in the studio and reducing the need for location shoots.

Directors and directors of photography. High-resolution LED screens replace green screens, giving actors a complete visual context on set. Actors, directors and cinematographers can see the result immediately, rather than waiting for post-production.

Writers and showrunners. Virtual sets open up new storytelling possibilities. We offer workshops in the studio to help teams understand their potential.

VFX supervisors. New creative possibilities are available through fully virtual sets or virtual elements integrated into an existing set.

Production managers. Pre-production becomes more important to the production process. Sets can be loaded in seconds rather than built over days or weeks.
